Our role in the South West.

CHARIS is working with Reset in shaping a national community-led resettlement programme to support refugees affected by the Syrian crisis, as they rebuild their lives in the UK. CHARIS is the South West partner of Reset. Together with other partners, we are funded by the Home Office and philanthropic foundations; mobilising the skills, resources and compassion of communities, faith groups, businesses and refugee charities.

In our role as the South West partner, we will be championing the Community Sponsorship programme by attending events and sharing our story of how we built a Community Sponsorship group, made an application to be an approved sponsor and the journey of resettlement with families. We also hope to support emerging groups across the region with resources and experience of the process.

The South West is leading the charge on Community Sponsorship. We are very excited by the enthusiasm in both our rural communities and cities! If you would like to know more about our role or indeed about Community Sponsorship, follow on the link below.  We would be delighted to chat with you or visit your group.
