We are currently unable to take on appeals due to not having a Legal Aid contract. Appeal matters often incur costs which we as a charity are unable to cover without a Legal Aid contract in place. For example, gathering expert evidence and instructing a barrister to represent a client at their appeal hearings.

If you are already being represented in your immigration matter and, you have not heard from your lawyer, you can contact your lawyer’s firm/organisation and ask to speak to their manager. If you are still unsuccessful, you can lodge a formal complaint with the firm/organisation (information in regards to this should be noted in the advice letter you initally received from your lawyer). The matter should then be resolved at that point and you should regain the appropriate contact with your lawyer.
If you are dissatisfied with the conclusion of your internal complaint, you can bring your complaint to the Legal Ombudsman.
